Venerable sycamore was the site of the first iteration of Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty..." speech.

This large sycamore across the street from the Charlotte County Courthouse predates the 1824 courthouse and was the site of Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty..." speech, before he traveled to Richmond to deliver it to the larger group.
